Elk Grove Soccer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth soccer organization based in Elk Grove, California, serving families throughout the Greater Sacramento region. Since its founding in 1983, the club has been committed to providing exceptional soccer experiences that inspire players of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential both on and off the field. Elk Grove Soccer is now one of the largest clubs in California.
Through innovative player development pathways, nationally recognized coaching, and a commitment to coaching education, Elk Grove Soccer creates an environment where more than 6,000 players and 500+ coaches and volunteers develop as athletes, leaders, and members of the community.
As one of Northern California’s premier soccer organizations, Elk Grove Soccer offers programs for every stage of the player journey, including Future Stars, Recreation, Competitive, MLS NEXT, Elite Clubs National League Regional League (ECNL RL), NorCal Premier, and adult programming. The club has established a proven pathway that has helped more than 200 players advance to collegiate soccer, while also producing Youth National Team players and professional athletes.
Elk Grove Soccer is dedicated to developing great players, exceptional people, and a stronger community through the game of soccer, while ensuring every player has the opportunity to learn, compete, and succeed in a positive, challenging, and inclusive environment.
Our History
1983
Elk Grove Youth Soccer League (EGYSL) was founded.
1986
EGYSL has a north and south club.
2014
12 clubs fuse under one name – Elk Grove Soccer.
2015
The new Elk Grove Soccer badge is created.
2015
Elk Grove Soccer amends bylaws to create a cohesive organization.
2015
The new Elk Grove Soccer Recreation kit is announced.
2016
Elk Grove Soccer wins its first NPL National Championship.
2023
Elk Grove Soccer celebrates 40 years providing soccer for the Elk Grove community and the surrounding communities.
2023
Elk Grove Soccer amends bylaws to better serve its members.
2024
Elk Grove Soccer agrees a partnership with Wilton Rancheria to further enhance our ability to provide soccer for all.
2025
Elk Grove Soccer joins the MLS league.
2026
Elk Grove Soccer wins its first MLS title. Then followed by two league championships.

Elk Grove Soccer announced as a ECNL-RL Club.

Elk Grove Soccer agrees a landmark partnership with Southgate Parks and Recreation.

Elk Grove Soccer is proud to have helped more than 122 players achieve their dream of playing collegiate soccer since 2014.

Elk Grove Soccer receives a safety ward for being the safest club in Elk Grove.

Training Programs
Elk Grove Soccer is proud to offer a wide range of positive, high-quality camps, clinics, and individual training opportunities designed to help players of all ages and abilities develop their skills, build confidence, and deepen their love of the game.
Goalkeeping Program
Position-specific goalkeeper training across all programs, with introductory training for new goalkeepers.
Advanced Development Program
Weekly development training for U7–U8 players from January to May, bridging Recreation and competitive soccer.
CAMPS
Fun, engaging camps for players of all abilities featuring Spring Break, Summer, Goalkeeper, Elite Development, and Girls Development programs.
IDP
Every player receives an Individual Development Plan (IDP) designed to support their long-term growth.
Outreach Programs
Elk Grove Soccer is proud to offer a variety of outreach programs designed to remove barriers and provide players of all backgrounds, abilities, and financial circumstances with access to positive, inclusive, and high-quality soccer experiences.
TOPSoccer
Elk Grove Soccer’s TOPSoccer program provides athletes up to age 18 with intellectual, developmental, physical, or sensory disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy of soccer in a safe, positive, and supportive environment. The program welcomes players with a wide range of abilities and needs, including, but not limited to, autism, attention-related disabilities, hearing or visual impairments, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, seizure disorders, and spina bifida.
Player Outreach
Elk Grove Soccer is committed to making the game accessible to every child, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize that financial limitations, transportation challenges, language barriers, cultural differences, technology access, and other obstacles can prevent young people from participating in organized soccer.
Through financial assistance, community outreach, inclusive programming, and partnerships throughout the Greater Sacramento region, Elk Grove Soccer strives to remove these barriers and create opportunities for children and families from underserved and lower socioeconomic communities to participate, develop, and thrive.
