Elk Grove Soccer Camps are designed for players ages 4–19 of all abilities who are looking for a fun, engaging, and development-focused soccer experience. Whether your child is taking their first steps in the game or striving to reach the next level, our camps provide the ideal environment to learn, improve, and have fun.
Led by Elk Grove Soccer’s experienced and licensed coaching staff, each camp emphasizes technical development, creativity, confidence, and a love for the game through age-appropriate activities and exciting challenges. Players will build new friendships, develop their skills, and create lasting memories in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Elk Grove Soccer Goalkeeper Development Program
The Elk Grove Soccer Goalkeeper Development Program is led by our experienced Goalkeeper Director and dedicated goalkeeper coaching staff, providing specialized, position-specific training for goalkeepers across all levels of the club’s competitive pathway.
Designed to complement each player’s team training, the program delivers high-quality goalkeeper education through structured sessions that focus on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological demands of the position. Goalkeepers receive age and level-appropriate instruction in a challenging and supportive environment that promotes long-term development and confidence.
Our goalkeeper curriculum serves players from our Recreation, Competitive, NPL, ECNL Regional League, and Academy programs, ensuring every goalkeeper has access to specialized coaching throughout the season. Training emphasizes shot stopping, handling, footwork, distribution, decision-making, communication, and game management while preparing players to excel within their teams.
For goalkeepers with aspirations of competing at the highest levels of the game, the Elk Grove Soccer Goalkeeper Development Program provides an elite training environment designed to maximize potential and support the pathway to collegiate, professional, and national team opportunities.

Curriculum Specifics
- Position-Specific Technical & Tactical Training – Specialized coaching that prepares goalkeepers for the individual situations and decision-making demands unique to the position.
- Comprehensive Goalkeeper Development – A progressive training pathway focused on mastering the technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of goalkeeping.
- Video & Classroom Analysis Sessions – Interactive learning opportunities that enhance game understanding through match analysis, tactical discussions, and goalkeeper-specific education.
- Positioning, Communication & Game Management – Training that develops effective positioning, leadership, organization, and communication to help goalkeepers confidently command their penalty area and support their team.
Training Outline
- Shot Stopping & Handling – Develop the techniques, reactions, and decision-making required to consistently make saves in a variety of game situations.
- 1v1 Defending & Through Ball Management – Learn how to recognize cues, control space, make decisive actions, and effectively deal with breakaways and balls played behind the defensive line.
- Crosses & Balls from Wide Areas – Build confidence in dealing with crosses, cutbacks, and aerial balls through improved positioning, timing, handling, and decision-making.
- Distribution, Footwork & Build-Up Play – Improve footwork, passing, receiving, and distribution techniques to help goalkeepers confidently initiate attacks and support possession-based play.

Goalkeeping Camps
Calling all goalkeepers! The Elk Grove Soccer Goalkeeper Camp is designed for aspiring goalkeepers looking to develop the specialized skills needed to excel between the posts.
Led by Elk Grove Soccer’s experienced goalkeeper coaching staff, the camp provides high-quality, position-specific training focused on shot stopping, handling, footwork, positioning, distribution, communication, and game management in a fun, challenging, and supportive learning environment.
Open to goalkeepers ages 9–16, this camp is ideal for players of all experience levels who want to build confidence and take their game to the next level. Players can also extend their soccer experience by joining our Traditional Summer Camp from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM for a full day of fun, development, and competition.
Half-Day GK Camp

- $200 per week
GK + Full-Day Option
- GK Camp: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Traditional Camp: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Please review our cancellation and change policies before registering. All requests must be submitted using the forms below. Policy available under policies on website.
Weather Policy
Elk Grove Soccer camps are conducted outdoors and are designed to operate in a variety of weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, sessions may be temporarily suspended, with players moved to a safe sheltered area (such as a pavilion or designated indoor facility, where available) until conditions improve and play can safely resume.
During periods of extreme heat, training activities may be modified and additional water and recovery breaks will be provided to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
If a camp session is canceled due to weather, refunds will not be issued for individual cancellations. However, if two or more sessions are canceled because of weather and makeup sessions cannot be scheduled, Elk Grove Soccer will provide participants with either a partial refund or program credit.
