About the
Program
Elk Grove Soccer’s Advanced Development Program (ADP) for the U6-U10 (2019 – 2015 birth years) program is composed of players from beginner to advanced. Players will be grouped based on current ability. It is a great way for players looking to move from recreation and experience the competitive environment. The league is divided in to divisions known as Norcal Premier League, and Cal North Competitive Soccer League (CCSL), and then placed into levels of Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The placement of teams within the divisions are determined by the performance of the teams as indicated by league standings and other criteria.

ADP
ADP emerged as a 21st century alternative to the frustrating shortfalls in soccer development displayed by most pre-teens. This void is heavily influenced by coaching quality and the pressures to win at critical periods in the development process.
ADP seeks to improve individual player development, satisfaction and retention, and to build a less pressured youth soccer environment for coaches, adult spectators, and match officials.

Belief
Our belief is if we create a deep knowledge of the game in our players this will lead to the ability of our players adapting during training/games to the wide variety of technical and tactical aspects of soccer.

Decisions
In every training task, in every exercise, in every match, the phases of the game and the individual and collective behaviors are intertwined and are impossible to dissociate. Players must learn all of this together.

Development
For this to happen, the educational setting, instead of differentiating between technical and tactical development or attack and defence, should strive to articulate them into an all-inclusive technical-tactical-defensive-offensive education.
